Too Much Magnesium

Magnesium is a mineral common on earth's crust it can be found almost anywhere, mostly within volcanic perimeters.  The main composition of magnesium normally makes it explode or combustible.  But the mineral is not only being used for such purpose, common soil has magnesium elements to it as well making it abundant is to plants and other vegetation intended for human consumption, being said the human body as well other animals were also adopted itself to the presence of the mineral in their system even making it beneficial to their health as well but too much magnesium would also be harmful to the body.

Too Much Magnesium

 Magnesium is being used to treat constipation or any abnormal bowel movements but it's different from the ones we can find in milk called milk magnesia.  Extra magnesium intake can be in a form of tablet compound called magnesium citrate or amino acid and the likes.   Other uses could be for asthma treatment, diabetes and fibromyalgia and the intake form is trough inhalers and intravenous magnesium forms.  But too much magnesium intake is harmful as well.  It could lead to experiencing vomiting, nausea, low blood pressure or could slow heart rate.  Having low magnesium is actually normal it doesn't suggest any deficiencies of any kind because magnesium was present in the body even after we were born.  The balance of the element may only disrupted by illness or diseases.  Magnesium side effects would vary from medication intake and dietary factors so taking in magnesium would need professional advice from health professionals.  Those who have kidneys or heart problems should only take magnesium upon orders from the doctors and should be taken in under a supervision of a health professional.  Overdose in magnesium especially milk magnesia in particular would even cause coma or worst death.

Too Much Magnesium

Other side effects would include disruption in calcium balance since calcium and magnesium works hand in hand particularly in developing and strengthening bones and teeth structure, if too much magnesium was present in the body the calcium level would drop.  Other factors affecting the balance of the body elements would be because of strong medication forms like diuretics, chemotherapy medications, steroids, antibiotics, hormonal supplementation and digoxin.  There are also possible interactions with magnesium if being taken together with other medications, like for example; taking in antibiotics while having high magnesium level would prevent full absorption of quinolone elements and tetracycline antibiotics, if happens that both magnesium and antibiotics has to be taken together for a purpose, there has to be a couple of hours intervals in between, this is to allow either of the two medication to be absorbed and perform its intended function in the body before taking in the other medication to do the same as well.  Surely a health professional would remind you of those side effects and provided you with beforehand information on how to properly take in those medications and too much magnesium would be beneficial and harmful if not being recommended by a doctor.
